Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY – For a reservation made directly with the inn or on the Auberge Marquis de Montcalm website – www.marquisdemontcalm.ca:

We have relaxed our postponement or cancellation policy in order to meet the needs of our customers. By contacting us directly, be assured of our understanding and our flexibility to postpone or cancel your reservation free of charge, provided that this modification or cancellation is requested before the limit of the number of days stated in the reservation confirmation, preceding the date and the established arrival time (2:00 p.m. being the local time automatically established for arrival). These requests can be made by phone or email: 1-866-421-7773 or reservation@marquisdemontcalm.com

Rest assured that we will take great care to confirm the postponement or cancellation of your reservation promptly. By booking directly at www.marquisdemontcalm.ca, you help make our hostel an example of success and you support sustainable development and the local economy as much as possible.

For customers who have booked via Booking.com, the Expedia group or any other online booking agency:

Note that to modify or cancel a reservation made through these digital platforms, you must contact these online agencies. We are aware that it is binding to contact their customer service, but you have made the choice to deal with these platforms, it is therefore your responsibility to contact them to make any modification or cancellation.

Most external booking sites limit and/or prevent direct communication with customers who have booked on these digital platforms. It is therefore your responsibility as a customer of these platforms to contact them in order to rectify your reservation.

Please be aware that we do not accept for any consideration to make exceptions to the free cancellation limits for these online booking platforms, as they charge us booking fees which are enormous for the work that we do. they perform.

 

For requests for cancellations or postponements of reservations due to COVID-19 for the prescribed period where fees are applied, we will agree to postpone this reservation for a period of 6 months beginning on the scheduled arrival date of the reservation initial, provided that the person who booked can send us a photo on which we can see the positive COVID-19 test that they took during this limitation period mentioned above, and the reservation page showing the # of confirmation of this reservation.
